received msg of new upgrade: V6.5.1000.4

what changes have been made in .4 from .3 ?

does the upgrade download re-set NT to its defaults or
do user input/settings etc remain unchanged ?

User settings persist so you don't need to worry about them getting cleared.

after installing the upgrade, the crosshair still it causes a pink ghost band
when placed on or moved over my grey background chart

I suspect this is an issue with your video card. Unfortunately I would not know what could be done.
