IB market data farm connection is inactive

    IB market data farm connection is inactive

    Dear Sirs,
    I use NT7 connecting with IB for real time data.
    I use also automatic strategies that send orders to IB OnBarUpdate.
    During the day sometimes the order is not sent because IB market data farm connection is inactive (from log report of NT7).
    I think that IB is not reliable to provide real time data.
    If I use for example kinetick for data provider, is this problem solved?
    I explain better:
    I suppose that if data connection is reliable the order is surely sent by NT7, but if IB data are not reliable, can IB receive and execute order?
    Someone has found and solved this problem in his strategies?

    Thanks for your post.
    According to Interactive Brokers these messages are not a concern and data becomes active again when there is activity.
    Are you strategies not functioning as you expect?
    Are you seeing data not working on your system?

      These messages are a big problem, because the order is not send to IB!
      If this problem is present at the end of the bar the order is not sent. If this problem arises and it is solved automatically before the end of the bar is ok.
      But during the day it happens quite often:

        Do you get an error when your strategy attempts to send an order? If so, what does it say?

          I don't get any error in the log file (inside the strategy code I don't write as output any error message indeed).
          Simply the order doesn't exist anywhere (according to the strategy it must exist).

            Thanks for your reply.
            Go to Help> Mail to Platform Support to send me your log and trace files to look further into this. In the message include a link to this forum topic and the date/time of when an order should have been submitted.
