Why do the numbers assigned to chart grid lines change during scrolling?

    Hi there,

I find that when I scroll the X-Axis of the chart, the numbers under each vertical grid line on the left of the Day, change.... yet the ones on the right of the day don't, they just scroll across as you would expect. Why is this?

See what I mean in this vid:

I am using NT 64-bit 7.0.1000.31 on Windows 10 64-bit (it would be awesome if there was a way to copy that from the Help/About dialogue, you can copy everything else except the version number....)

    Hello codeowl,

Unfortunately this is as expected behavior. If you scroll the volume chart, it will change the grid lines. This change in grid lines causes different time stamps to be shown. The vertical grid lines shift to another volume bar.

If you click and hold your left mouse button below the X-axis and move to the left until only today's volume bars are shown, subsequently scroll the chart, it will change time stamps for today's volume bars as well.

      Jason,

Thanks for clarifying this mate. It does make it difficult to keep track of things as you scroll. I see the same thing happens in NT8 as well. Is there a reason this happens? Is it behavior by design to address another issue... or is it just an issue that has not yet been addressed that might get fixed?

      Regards,

      codeowl

I am not sure about the exact reason. I will forward the suggestion to have fixed time stamps when scrolling charts to development to put it on the list of possible future enhancements.

        Thank you for reporting.
