Ninjatrader SLOW Optimization CPU 100%

I have been trying to run the NT strategy optimization on my automated strategy but it seems to have difficulty doing this quickly.
I have removed my current database and created a new one and when I first start NT and run the optimization it quickly runs and I see some results, but then the next time I try and run the time to complete is sometimes saying 15hrs + and my CPU is running at 100% with fans going.
Again I have removed the database but it just keeps on doing this, I am only trying to run the optimization on the ES for the month of April. Any ideas why it would perform so slowly?

Do you receive the same behavior if you try to replicate this with the SampleMACrossover Strategy?

I tested with MACDX and it's quicker but still has issues trying to do a month
