    chart not loading

    My charts are not loading, after i chose the instrument and hit the ok button, a box pops up thats says "loading". Then that box goes away and another box opens that says "saving". This box that says "saving" just sits there and my charts remain blank. I tried the resetting instrument option but that didn't help. I am using ampfutures for data. Thanks

    What instrument are you trying? What time period? Please try a daily chart of the last 15 days.

      I am trying to load the ES 2000 volume bars. i tried the a daily chart but there seems to be no historical data because i only see one bar that is still in progress.

        To clarify: You are connected to Amp using ZenFire technology and you pull up a chart on ES 09-08 for a 2000 volume series and the "Saving" box keeps sitting there?

        Note: Amp/ZenFire does not support daily historical data.

          Yes thats correct. T&S and the dome is working but the chart is just not loading. Usualy this box will go away within seconds and then the chart will load but this box just sit there and the charts do not load.

            Then your DB likely is corrupted. Please try this:
            - Tools->Historical data->Delete:
            * select instrument in question
            * From = 2000/1/1
            * To = 2009/1/1
            * check "Tick..."
            * press Ok to delete all your historical data for data instrument
            - Tools->Options->Misc-Repair DB

            ... then try again to open up a chart

                Next step would be deleting the DB by manually removing the file <my documents>/NinjaTrader6.5/db/NinjaTrader.mdb.

                Note: all your trade data and historical data will be lost.

                  That only helped for a minute. The charts did load one time after i manually deleted the data base but then i tried opening another chart and the same problem showed up.

                      What was the resolution for this issue? It appears that I share trader413's problem. I have discovered that I don't have the issue as long as I keep my chart in terms of "minutes". If I move to "days", then I get the "Saving" box, then a blank chart. I can fudge and choose a "1440 minute" chart for my days, but I'd prefer being able to choose "days"

                            GAIN does not support daily bars which is why you don't see anything when trying to load a daily chart.
