    Problems stopping NT from running

    Ray, we are having a problem with NT this morning. We were running 4.030b5, and when we tried running a shadow trade, we got an error dialog (I didn't get the message at the time) that said something about being sorry, but NT will be shutdown. We restarted NT and tried another shadow trade, and this time we got an error that said "Failed to load resources from resource file. Please check your setup. <OK>" And NT was shutdown. Now when we try to start NT and connect to IB, we get that message every time. So I removed the .30B5 version and put back on the .29 release version. Same thing. It has something to do with shadow trades though. The 2nd time I crapped out of .29, I went started it back up, but instead of connecting, I went to the strategy manager and removed the shadow trades I had established on a couple of our strategies. As soon as I updated the page, I heard the voice say "Position filled" (I didn't know there was any open position, I didn't see it in any of the position or open pages). And now the system seems to be working again. So I expect either we setup a condition that causes it, or there is a feature in your code that allows this to happen.

    Let me know if there is anything I can try for you to see about fixing it. In the meantime I'll put the .30b back on.

      Sure Ray,
      As it happens, we went away to work out, left the computer running along with NT & IB. When we looked at the screen, the original message I didn't capture the first time was back on the screen, it was "NinjaTrader has encountered an internal erro with simulated positions and needs to shut down and remove all open simulated postions. Sorry for the inconvenience. <OK>". NT was shutdown and we restarted it. It is running now. We are in simulation mode, connected to our IB account and we are trying a stock strategy and so far it hasn't given us another error.

      I'll let you know as we see more problems.

        I've just noticed the same problem. I've recieved a "Failed to load resources from the resource file. Please check your setup" There is no error code or other info. This has happened four times this morning. I am using ver 4.0.37

        This has happened while I was in a trade and is very unnerving
