Chart Screen Position Memory

I Ninja Zen (5.1.1000.2)...when 2 charts are left open only the user selected screen size and position of the firstchart set up is saved correctly upon restart of Ninja. You always have to resize the second chart again to where you want it upon restart.

I can't reproduce here, works as expected.

You can try deleting the following file and restarting NT. You will lose workspace settings.

C:\Program Files\NinjaTrader 5\workspaces\default.xml

Hi Ray...

Deleted the suggested workspace file...restarted and set up 2 charts again (4 tick ER2 and 4 tick YM), then positioned them on the screen...then shut down and restarted...and the YM chart did not return to where I had set it, but to the position as ifa new chart window...the ER2 chart returned to the screen location set before shutdown OK though. So it still works as before. I have NT Zenon another computer too...I will try this routine on that one this afternoon.

Otherwise NT Zen is working great...it is nice to see the actual patterns in tick charts....

Hi Ray...

I believe I discovered the error of my ways...I had stacked the two charts on top of each other very evenly and had both checked as "Always on Top"...now with both still checked as on top and while changing the size just slightly) butpretty much stacked in similar size, things work OK, ...evidently I previously had them so similar in size and stacked so evenly that Ninja did not handle well upon restart....at least that seems to be what happened...

Also if the charts are now put in different screen areas or even slightly different but still overlapping sizes they always return to the same places upon restart now.

Something related....How does one reset the default settings that define the way a new chart looks initially ?

My charts are coming up with old initial settings (candel colors etc) that I would like to change....even though I have desired settings on several existing charts in Properties now.

Right click in chart, Templates, Save as Default.
