NASDAQ TRIN indicator & NASDAQ TICK indicator

    Hello,

Is there a NASDAQ TRIN indicator and NASDAQ TICK indicator for NinjaTrader?

If not, is there a way to access those indicators online?

    Hello,

    Thanks for your note.

There would be the "TICKQ" and "TRINQ" instruments that are native to the NinjaTrader platform, which are the NASDAQ Cumulative Tick and the NASDAQ Short Term Trading Index, respectively.

      Hello Drew,

      Thanks for your reply.

I still don't understand how to access those instruments/indicators.

I tried typing TICKQ in a NinjaTrader chart and I got a blank page. I tried the same with typing TRINQ in a chart and also got a blank page.

TICKQ and TRINQ are not in the list of NinjaTrader indicators.

So how would I access them?

        Hello,

        Thanks for your reply.

These instruments are indexes, so if you were to create a chart of these instruments, you would actually use "^TICKQ" and "^TRINQ" without the quotation marks. Your data provider would also have to support these instruments, and your specific account connection would have to be enabled for this data.

Who do you connect to for data?

          Thanks Drew,

I found them in the Instrument Manager and am able to access them on a chart now.

My data provider is NinjaTrader Continuum.

          I appreciate the help.

              Hello Sledge,

              Thanks for posting.

These would be supported indexes with CQG/NinjaTrader Continuum, but you would need to be enabled for this data through your Broker.

A list of supported indexes with these connections can be found below:
