    Cannot cancel orders

    Good morning - for the past few weeks I have been having this issue. If i decide i want to cancel an order that is pending (limit orders mainly), i try to cancel but cannot. The order still says pending in the orders on the control center and it still shows on my chart trader. I cannot move, cancel or change the order. The only way to remove the order is to restart ninja trader which is very aggravating especially while in a different position. Please help. Thank you.

    Thank you for your note.

    You should repair your database to remove the order from NinjaTrader and prevent this from happening.

    To repair your database please go to Tools> Options> Data> and click 'Repair DB'.
    If this does not remove the order then the order will be removed when your broker resets their servers.

    If the order was submitted to the sim101 account please reset the sim101 account.

    To reset the sim101 account please go to Tools> Options> Simulator> and click 'Reset'.

      Thank you Alan. I have reset the instruments and repaired the data base and it still continues to happen at least a few times a week. Also this is a live account (FXCM).

        I will need to see your log and trace for today look further into this inquiry.

        Could you please send me your log and trace files from within NinjaTrader. Go to Control Center-->Help-->EMail Support in NinjaTrader. Put 'Att AlanP', in the subject field and enable 'Log and trace files'.

        If this did not occur today, send anyways and I'll respond to the email with instruction on attaching files for the day it occurred.

          Good morning – I am still having this issue even after resetting database and instruments. (reset them late last week and having the issue this morning). It is aggravating and costing me money when I am filled on a trade I wanted to cancel. Even when I attempt to manually cancel the order in the control center it will not let me. Please advise. Thank you.

            This can be related to using OCO orders and not turning OCO off after you submit OCO orders.

            Could you please send your log and trace files for the day the order got stuck?
