    No fresh datas from zenfire live

    Hello,
    i need help - it so often in the morning that i have probs to get datas in my charts from my zenfire-connection - i tried every system of opening my workspace(workspace @ first / connect @ first / open ninja with workspace /
    open ninja with default workspace .... ) i dont know what i am doing wrong.
    If i open the workspace before connecting - everything is fine - historic datas from last week are on my PC - all charts opened well - so the workspaces are allright.
    Maybe you have kind of a checklist what to look for (ninja + windows)
    Badest thing is that it works most of the times after trying it 5 times (open/close/reboote and so on ...)
    And somtimes it works with the first try - no more ideas here ....

    Edit again 11.30h german time - after 2 hours doing + trying now i got my charts filled - but this could not stay like this.

    Hello max-td,

    Am I correct in understanding the issue only occurs when you connect to your data feed first and open your workspace second?

    Does this occur with only one workspace or multiple workspaces?

      its happening in all opening-way.
      i havnt find a rule when its happening or when not.

      its in all workspaces.

      i can send you the logfile from today to see the way it was today
      - if this is helpful.

        Could you please send me your log and trace files to "support AT ninjatrader DOT com" and reference this post.

        You can find these files at the following locations:

        Start Menu--> My Documents--> NinjaTrader 6.5--> Log--> log.20080707 for today. (log.yyyymmdd for any other date)

        Start Menu--> My Documents--> NinjaTrader 6.5--> Trace--> trace.20080707 for today. (trace.yyyymmdd for any other date)

            i am !
            btw. - its not a new thing - it also was like this @ the previous ninja-versions - but only sometimes and somtimes not - then not for weeks - now again - heavyly today- took 2 hours before loading - look at the traces - cant explain something - never + nothing at all has been changed on my pc-machine.
            And always suddenly it was ok -
            wtihout making any changes at the worksapces or somewhere else - didnt need to rebuild them they where ok + work.

              Sorry, I don't understand all the details of your post. What do you mean by "took 2 hours before loading". Are you saying you connected and then it took 2 hours until the charts populated?

                i am in contact with jason. he has the tracefiles with the trouble.

                i took 2 hours trying everything again + again - opening - connecting - shutdown - rebooting and so on - in different order and suddenly it works like there was nothing - dont ask why.
                the connection with zenfire is always shown as "working" but the datas are charts dont get a fill - its even not possible to use the buttons "format data series" oder timetrame or reload hist. data.
                a second machine also works here - www is ok - router ok - everythings fine.
                Opening the workplace without connection worked fine - then when i connected - all datas where gone - the refreshed ones diddnt come in.

                  Well - tried a lot now - uninstalled Ninja - cleaned up everything - but still sometimes these troubles.
                  I realized now that when my workspace has opened and some charts are filled and some others dont get filled (i see all chart-template-stuff but no chart-datas inside) the feed in this chart is flowing - i see the Bid+Ask numbers running (!) but no pricebars are shown in the chart itself - funny stuff.
                  And sometimes at this point when i press the Ninja-close button (X) and the final pop-up comes (wanna save / cancel .......) there happens somthing and one or more charts suddenly starts loading their pricebars and are filled.
                  Well - i keep on reporting - maybe coming to a sulution / maybe useful for others.
                  I for shure i can say now that it is not the RT-Feed.

                    Curious. How many charts and indicators on these charts are you running? What type of charts are these and what is the lookback period on all of them?

                      Also: Please double check you have your session settings on chart reset to default (12AM through 12AM).

                        smallest workspace 3 charts / biggest 7 charts
                        always only workspce one open
                        it could happen in the small or in the bigger ones.

                        3-6 indicators each ( emas/ccis/stochs)

                        minutes lookback 15 days
                        and
                        ticks lookback 4-5 days

                        cpu + RAM always OK - nothing at the limit.
                        and these "empty" charts dont cost a % on CPU - it goes back to 10-20%- no more bigger cpu-action then - just the "normal" usage

                        Yesterday it took 3 times trying to open the workspces - than everything was OK
                        Today - the first time opening workspaces - everything was ok

                          i looked in the tracefiles - maybe you know what this means : Gui.WorkspaceOptions.ApplicationExit
                          This is always shown when the openingprocess of a workspace stucks.

                            This is traced as you exit the app.

                              ah ok - so this is traced when i hit the Ninja-exit-button.

                              My charts in the eurex workspace are set to 08:00 to 22:00 h
                              and in the US workspaces 15:30 to 22:00h
                              i never change this.
