Save currently open chart data as historical data

    Hi,

I wanted to know how can I save the currently open chart data as historical in Ninjatrader?

My situation is that I do not get true tick data separately in India so I use a software to connect NT via external feed by my broker's platform which gives tick by tick data.

To save this valuable data, I open a market analyzer and run my computer entire day after I check 'Save chart data as Historical' and 'Record for Market Replay' in NT settings.

However, today I accidentally unchecked the 'Save chart data as historical'.
But I have the chart open which has been composed of the entire day's tick data. Can I save this chart data s historical in NT. Probably if it saved in today's cache in NT or something?

So here I am in a pickle. Can someone please help?

    Hello rusty_banks,

    Thank you for your post,

The Tools > Options > Data tab > "Save Chart Data as Historical" option saves the chart data as it's received real-time, so there's not a method to save the data that was received without this option checked.

There is an internal cache of the data but this feature is for use with connections that offer historical data to make loading charts faster, not to save the data itself. Since your data provider doesn't offer the data on their servers the cache will likely clear when you connect to your data provider or reload the data, the "Save Chart data As Historical" feature is designed for connections that don't offer historical data or have it disabled within the Account Connection (Tools > Account Connections).

See the below link for more information on when NinjaTrader will load historical data.
