a strategy has disappeared from the strategies list

one of my strategies has disappeared from the strategies list when i right click
on a chart to pick a pick strategies?

what should i do?

Thank you for writing in.

Let's first re-compile your scripts.

To do this, click on Tools -> Edit NinjaScript -> Indicator from the Control Center. Select any indicator and click OK.

When the NinjaScript Editor appears for the script, ensure that the Editor window is the active window and hit F5 on your keyboard.

Do you see any compile errors?

If not, return to your chart and attempt to add the strategy again. Does it appear? If it doesn't appear, are there any errors that appear in the Log tab of the Control Center?

the strategy was imported. i don't have the scripts.

it has been working for a long time. do you have any thoughts about why it would just up and disappear?

i'm not even sure if i can find the file or folder in which the strategy was sent to me, which i think i must have then imported?

Hello joemiller,

It may be possible that the strategy may have been deleted or something in the strategy has been modified to prevent the strategy from initializing correctly (the Log tab should show errors pertaining to the strategy in question if this is the case).

If you did not edit the strategy manually, it may have just been deleted. I wouldn't be able to tell you what caused it to be deleted.

I would suggest redownloading the file and reimporting it.

i don't see anything of significance in the log. i could not edit it because i don't have the
script.

is there no other alternative other than to re-import it?

If you no longer have the script, you will need to reimport it.

i re-imported it. in doing so, i responded 'yes' to a message 'RTB1 already exists, do you want to replace it?' note that the strategy had disappeared from the strategies list when i right click on a chart to pick a strategy ... as described in my first post. i then restarted ninja trader but the problem still exists.
