Error: Order has exceeded available account equity

    Hello,

Recently I started getting an error message each time I use SIM101. The error message I get is:

NinjaTrader Continuum, Order has exceeded available account equity: Please reduce order size affected Order: Buy 1 Stop @ 1.3025

    Screenshot attached.

    I have a Ninjatrader Lifetime License and a Multi-License.

I notice that I have two SIM101 accounts with identical names. Is this normal? If not, should I delete one of them?

    Hello i2w8am9ii2,

The error means that the cash balance on the Sim101 is depleted and needs to be reset.

Resetting a simulation account will clear all historical trade data from this account. Please follow the instructions below to reset a simulation account. (This can take long depending on the size of your database file and your system.)

From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools> Options> Simulator.
    Press the 'Reset' button.
If you do not want to lose your trade data, uncheck the 'Clear history' box.

      Hi Chelsea,

      Thanks for the info.

In regards to unchecking the 'Clear history' box, you say, "This must be left checked when wanting to remove a stuck sim order"

Is that what my error indicates? A stuck SIM order? Is leaving the 'Clear history' box checked necessary in regards to the error that I'm getting?

What about the two SIM101 accounts that I have? Should I delete one of them?

        i2w8am9ii2,

Deleting or creating a sim account is up to you.
You do not have to delete any self created sim accounts to resolve this error.

The error means that the cash balance on the Sim101 is depleted and needs to be reset. It does not mean there is a stuck order.

I'll remove that extra bit of information from my previous post.

          Thanks Chelsea, for the clarification.

I reset my SIM101 account and did not get the error messages that I was getting when trading today.

          I appreciate the help.

            Sim error order exceeded

            HI, Getting this same error.
Amount available in Sim101 is $200,000.
So how can I be getting this error for only 1 NQ contract order?
            thanks, n1144n

              Hello n1144n,

May I have a screenshot showing the Accounts tab of the Control Center (specifically the Cash Value column)?

To send a screenshot with Windows 7 or newer I would recommend using Window's Snipping Tool.

Alternatively to send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screenshot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CTRL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save as a jpeg file and send the file as an attachment.

                Account balances

HI, In addition I don't have this issue when I run the same script using an IB demo account.
                thanks, n1144n

                    Order exceeded available account equity

                    Hey,
                    thanks for the reply.
I already Reset the DB in hopes it will fix the error.
I'll try to run the script tonight to see what develops.
If the error is still there I'll send the files.
                    thanks for your help, n1144n
