Panel 1 vs Same as Input Series Difference?

I had an issue with one of my indicators but found the cause. But now I have a question.

What is the difference between selecting "panel 1" and "same as Input series" for the indicator panel?

    Just background (no resolution required):
The setting of panel 1 had a weird impact on my x/y axis on DRAWFIB..... It didn't invert when I tried to draw the fib but switched the high to the low and low to the high. Set it to same as input series and it works fine.

    Hello ct,

    Thank you for your post,

"Same As Input Series" is usually the same as Panel 1 because charts are originally defaulted with the Data Series (price data) being the only chart panel. Generally, the chart would need to be altered to have an indicator or secondary Data Series above the Primary Data Series for there to be a difference.

For example, in the attached image I have set the secondary Data Series to Panel 1 (ES 12-16). The EMA I added is plotting based on the primary Data (CL 11-16), but is set to plot in Panel 1. If "Same as Input Series" was select, the EMA would show up in the second chart panel in this scenario.
