Whats new in new NT version 7.0.1000.32 ?

Hi there,

NT gave me a message this morning that "NinjaTrader 7.0.1000.32 Released"

I'm always hesitant to updated straight away... can anyone please tell me what are the big functionality differences in this release?

Moreover, does anybody have a link for the release notes of this version?

Is reason enough for me to update!

I've put in my license key and downloaded the setup.exe file... do I uninstall my current Ninja Trader and then run the setup file, or can I just close ninja trader down and run the setup file and the new version will install over the top of the version I currently have?

Hello Michelle,

You do not have to uninstall NinjaTrader. You can install it on top of your current version. Just make sure NinjaTrader is shut down when you install the latest version.

What is this update trying to solve:

Updated 5029 General License key can no longer be changed while connected to a provider

Does that mean I can disconnect from the provider with NT still open, change the license key, then connect again?

Hello sandman,

Yes, you will need to disconnect all connections now before you can change the license key at Control Center-->Help-->License Key. Once you enter the license key, you can connect again.

Before you could change the license key while connected. If the new license key did not support the broker connection that is connected, you would not be able to disconnect as it would not be listed under Control Center-->File-->Disconnect.

I use the free version, and it is not possible download when I put the key. Say the key is wrong.

Can you please make sure no additional spaces are added when you enter the free license key.

If the issue remains, please send us an email at "platformsupport [at] ninjatrader [dot] com" that includes the license key you enter.

Well the support sent to me the file, but after install alll my strategies, and some indicator give errors.... much erros.

Had made a restore point of win 10, and back to old version.

The others updates never do like that.

I wait for other verison. Not this.

What did the error messages state? Could it be you had NinjaTrader running when installing the new version?

I install with Ninja closed.
I do not want try again in next months.
But it is very strange.

When I hve time to anotate some formulas that meantime I have improve and some strategy. And after I will try again. But only in next year. Also planed to buy finally the software...!! I think all test are done to start automatic.

A hint to folks with any update: make a copy of NinjaTrader 7 or whatever version you are presently using just in case something wrong with an update you are not lost.

jmagaia used his Restore Point, but that wouldn't work for me as my Restore Point really doesn't work.

For me, this work, but also, I forget say that I previous I do a backup of all files in inside "Documents\Ninjatrader 7" and do a restore.
Also, I have a backup of Regedit, but this I do not restore, not necessary.

And each month I do a backup for all files in inside Docs that have Ninja without DB, But DB I do a backup each 4 months. But you can do a Backup ith all files and in BD only the 2 files inside DB: "Ninjatrader.sdf" and "NinjaTrader.Old.sdf"

I'm sorry you could not do it with the restore point.
