    import seconds data

    Hi, I got problem importing 10seconds data. Data example:

    20030727 162631;1.1562;1.1562;1.1562;1.1562;0
    20030727 162641;1.1562;1.1562;1.1562;1.1562;0
    20030727 162651;1.1562;1.1562;1.1562;1.1562;0

    and result:

    Time stamp line 2 is smaller/equal than timestamp of previous line.

    It is not. I have minute data like that (just seconds are zero) and it works ok.
    Where is the problem?

    Can you post in the exact lines that are throwing the error?

      import process

      line 2 as you can see, the second line in my post is the line where it gives error

      the whole process was:
      tools-historical data-import-in dialog windows selected the file containing this and nothing else and it gave the error I posted here:

        This is the format of a 1 minute data import where the 2nd line has the same (minute) timestamp as the 1st line. Please see the format for tick data import.

          seconds data

          so I cannot import seconds data?
          I have to have every seconds open price, no high and low of the 10 seconds interval? why is then in the minute data the seconds '00'?

            Tick data is used to create seconds charts as you can see in the link below.

            Please import historical tick data in the same format displayed in the link Dierk provided and you should be able to create chart with an x second interval.

              right, but still as I said previously, it will be chart of open or close prices (whatever I set in the ascii file to be in the one column, that can be under tick data imported). Thus I will never see a ten seconds bar with OHLC. If yes, please tell me how. There is only one column in the tick format to be imported.

              what I wanted by importing 10 sec data to have more accurate data for testing. This problem indicates I will be better off with minute data than with the 10s data. The only better option would be to import tick or every second data. Right? (please tell me "no" and how to do it...)

                - If you import tick data then your file only should have 1 price column.
                - If you import minute data then your file should have 4 price columns and different minute timestamps
