    SFE data

Has NinjaTrader stopped updating & saving the SPI200 database?

    Hello,

    Thanks for your post.

Who do you connect to for data? Different data providers would support different instruments.

CQG is the data provider & has been for a long time without any previous problems.

        Hello,

        Thanks for your note.

CQG connections would rely on the NinjaTrader Historical Data Servers, so I will check with the Data Management team in regards to this item and follow up with you as further information becomes available.

Due to lack of demand, our historical data servers no longer record the SPI. I will send a feature request to the Development Team as we are tracking interest on returning this instrument.

Currently, your options would be to record your real-time data as historical, or obtain a supplementary data provider which supplies this historical data.

If you'd like to record your real-time data go to Tools > Options > Data tab > Enable 'Save chart data as historical' > OK. Please keep in mind that this will only provide historical data for instruments which are streaming in real-time into NinjaTrader while you are connected.

            Thanks.
            I have already done that.
It would have been nice to receive some prior warning.
            Cheers.

boy do you guys like to kill off any growth in your platform as well as piss off long term users.

Can you please provide a full list of data that is no longer being supported on NT8

                Hello,

                Thanks for posting.

I'm sorry to hear of your frustration regarding this item, and I can understand that frustration. Unfortunately, there is not currently a publicly available list of instruments no longer recorded by the NinjaTrader Historical Data servers.

                  Hello PatrickG,

For what it is worth, I would like to express my interest in having the SPI contract back on the historical data servers !!
                  Thanks - Eric.

                    Hello,

                    Thanks for posting.

I'm happy to add your vote towards the Feature Request to potentially return support for the SPI on the Historical Data Servers.

Another vote for historical data for the SPI

Are NT actively trying to discourage Asian session traders? No historical data for a number markets?

I have suggested to many people not to purchase NT as it is becoming too hard to trade the Asian session

Yes a list of symbols no longer being supported in NT8 would be nice.

Another vote here for SPI data.

Another frustrated lifetimer....why no warning on this? The CAC as well I hear...and just after I lavished NT with praise for having historical HKFE data....your just making it harder and harder for Asia Pacific traders to stick with you..

You should know the old rule of thumb, for every customer that complains....100 just stop using the product.

                              Disappointed.
