ATM Strategy Templates File Location

Dear Support,

In a recent NT7 update I have lost all my custom ATM Strategy Templates. The custom ATM list is empty. Is there a way to recover the file for my custom ATM Templates from a back up NT7 copy or coping from NT7 installation on a second computer? Where is such folder located? (Note: it is not under Ninjatrader7>Templates).

NinjaTrader 7 ATM strategies are stored in the NinjaTrader database file. This file also contains other items like instrument lists and trade history. Are you missing any of these other items after the upgrade?

Have you created backups of your NinjaTrader? If so, you should be able to restore from this backup file to restore your ATM strategies.

If you do not have a backup file, you will need to recreate your ATM strategies.

Sorry but not clear here, do you mean Documents > Ninjatrader7 > db is the location for ATM Template folder? No ATM Templates folder there. What is the address for your mentioned Ninjatrader database file? Two points:

My NT backup is from an older version of NT7 and will be reverting to the old version.

If not already exists, perhaps need to have a Template folder for custom ATMs similar to other template folders.

No, there is no ATM template folder in NinjaTrader 7. ATM templates are a part of the database file and cannot be separated from it. The database file is located in Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > db > "NinjaTrader.sdf" (this is your database).

The improvement you've suggested has been made in NinjaTrader 8 and ATM templates are now stored in their own template folder outside of the database file.
