I have converted from ASCII to ninjatrader format, In text file If I replace space with semicolon then I am not able to separating the date and time It needs to be a space. I have attached both CSV and text file with this message. Please help....

    Hello Sameer,

    Thank you for writing in,

To import successfully, you will need to use the .TXT file.

You'll need to rename the file itself as "ALUMINIUM.Last.txt"

In the file, you had begun editing it correctly to import by removing the spaces and adding the semi-colons, every line will need to be edited as well. Repeat that process for every line and from there, you will be able to successfully import.

I've copied below the section of our help guide that covers importing.

    https://ninjatrader.com/support/help...?importing.htm

We look forward to assisting further.

      Hi EricB,

Thanks for the reply, As per your suggestion I have made changes in text file removing the spaces and adding the semi-colons, But the problem is I am not able to separating the date and time It needs to be a space. Like in notepad replace all....

      e.g : 20161101;100200;115.6;115.7;115.6;115.7;22

      I need like this : 20161101 100200;115.6;115.7;115.6;115.7;22

      Thanks

        Hello Sameer,

        Thank you for your reply,

You're correct, there will need to be a blank space after the date.

Sorry for the confusion, you don't need to include "txt" as part of the file time, that will be automatically added when the file is saved. See my attachment as an example.

I'm not quite sure I'm understand what is occurring on your end, I see in the attachment you recently added that there is now a semi-colon after the date. Removing the semi-colon after the date and replacing with a space will let you manually import.

I went ahead and did this for the first 62 lines and those lines were able to be imported, see the attachment.

After importing, make sure you are checking the Log tab of the Control Center, as the exact line where the import fails will list there. If you import my attachment, you should see the first 62 lines will be imported, but the 63 and all going forward will not due to the semi-colon after the date.

            Hello Sameer,

            Thank you for your reply,

To do this, click your mouse after the semi-colon. This will place the intersection point / flashing line to edit text after the symbol, press Backspace and then your Spacebar to enter the space.

From there, you can use the down arrow to edit the lower line. Repeat the process until each line is edited.
