Trend lines disapear in different time frame?

I use the 30 sec and the 1 sec time frames when trading.

I draw trends in the 30 sec and then trade off the 1 sec.

For some reason Only the horizontal lines are still available when I switch from 30 to 1 sec.

The trend lines I have drawn dissapear or if they appear its only for part of the chart and they dissapear on and off.

Is there a way to fix this. I unsderstand you dont have the ability right now to have two charts with the same trends, but is there some way I can at least draw trends on the same chart I switch TF's and have the trends still there?

P.S. This also happens when switching from 30 sec to 5 sec. All trends drawn on 30 sec disappear.

Are you sure if you zoom out (put more bars on the chart) the trendline is somewhere on your screen? I just tested what you said and it worked here as expected.

I am using a pure line chart

When I zoom out, sometimes they are there

When I zoom in they disappear

Make a 30 sec pure line chart

Draw some trends connecting line sand make sure they run into last price.

Im using GAIN EUR/USD (if it makes difference)

Then ope 1 sec. Zoom in a little.

Move the screen back and forth. They disappear.

The horizontal lines are disappearing now also

Now many lines are staying their but...

I draw them going down 45 degree on the 30 sec and when I switch to the 1 sec they are going almost horizontal and nowhere near the points I drew them on the 30 sec.

I can draw a channel on the 30 sec, open the 1 sec and almost none of the price is in the channel because the trend line moved.

This is fustrating.

Any idea what is going on?

I cant believe I am the only person to have this problem.

Mike I am unable to reproduce on my end. Maybe you could try uninstalling and then reinstalling along with .NET 2.0.

I made a video to make it more clear what is happening.

This is with the latest version. I cant believe noone else is experiencing this? I would really like to use this platform but this is a huge negative.

While your at it. Please remember that you can draw a diagonal trend line on the 30 sec. Then switch the TF to 1 sec, and the trend line is not in the same area.

Try to reproduce this and bring this up also. If you cant reproduce I will make another video.

Yes I just upgraded a few days ago.

I was hoping that would fix the problem. When it didnt thats when I made the video

This is a limitation related to the anchor points of your trend line: if both anchor points are too far off the canvas, then the trend line would not be plotted. As work around you could make sure at least one of the anchor point is on canvas or "near" the canvas.

We'll add this issue to our list of future considerations though.

This would be very useful on the platform because...

What if you want to go to a 15 min, set your trend lines, and then go down to a 1 min. for trading. You want to be able to see the major trends you drew from the 15 min. and be able to trade around them from the 1 min.

When you switch from 15 min. to 1 min. or 4 hr to 15 min, or whatever, you mill at some time not have all the ANCHORS on your page. No other platforms have ever given me this issue.

Hopefully it will be considered for the next version.

P.S. Someone mentioned the ability to reproduce a chart with all its trendlines. This would be good also, but without being able to scale down and keep ACCURATE trends, it would not be to useful.

Thank you for your suggestion. Development has this on it's list of possible enhancements.

As a note, you can save your drawing objects on your charts by saving them in a workspace: File>workspaces>save as.
