How do I update the ParabolicSAR indicator to include an alert when price closes above/below it, indicating a trend change?

Hello danp502,

Thank you for writing in.

You can not call the Alert method within an indicator so you would have to build this as a strategy.

To accomplish this, I would first open the strategy builder via control center>Tools>New Strategy. Within the builder on the Conditions and Actions page, you should select Add for condition. On the right side of the condition builder, select under Price data>Close. The operator between you should set to CrossAbove. On the right side you should select ParabolicSar. Press Okay.

Now define Do the following, click Add and select the alert.

Click Next until the strategy compiles.
