Interactive Brokers forcing update on TWS

I got a message that TWS 944.3 will not be supported by June. And that version TWS 949.3 will be the minimum that is supported by IB. How will this affect users of NT7 connecting to IB.

    Your connection guide here:

    show that it requires 944.3.

    will 949.3 work?

I have been actually using 949.3e for a while and it was working well till this morning.

The Development Team is aware of this and is working on officially supporting a newer version of TWS for NinjaTrader 7 before this deadline.

Newer versions may work but they would not be officially supported currently. An update will be made when a new version of TWS is supported.

frankduc, I would still recommend using TWS 944.3 until an update is made.

Is the issue im exposing here http://ninjatrader.com/support/forum...ad.php?t=96158 is linked to that IB TWS update?

No, that issue is unrelated and will be addressed in the thread you've made.

            Hi Patrick.

Will customers be advised when it's time to upgrade TWS version?

            Thanks.

              Hi Patrick,

please upgrade the supported TWS version to one in which continuous contracts are offered by IB, it's very important for correct data extraction for all futures from IB...

                    Any news on this ?

This should be a sticky on the forum since it will affect everybody using IB

The Development Team is working on supporting a newer version of TWS for use with NinjaTrader 7. No change to the supported version of TWS will be made until a new version of NinjaTrader 7 is released. I do not have an estimate when this release will occur.

I would suggest monitoring the release notes for further information on the next release:
