    Weird Chart Loading Message

    I have recently been getting these weird loading messages on DAILY charts.



    The year info is the weird part. After I click abort I get this message.



    But the daily chart appears to have loaded correctly.

    Then when hit Ctrl+F to bring up the format data series on that daily chart I get this message.



    But the NT software doesn't automatically shutdown.

    I am currently using BarCharts data and this only occurs on Daily charts.

    Can you provide us the "Format Data Series" date range you have setup for your charts? Also can you use "Mail to Support" and attach your trace logs? Please mention this thread inside the email as well as a general date/timestamp for when this error occurred too. Thanks.

      I can't view the format data series on the chart because that last error message I posted pops up so I don't know the look back period. I tried sending a Mail To Support ticket but I recieved a message that it could not connect. I suppose your support server is down on the weekends. Will try on Monday. Thanks

        Was this on a blank chart? No indicators no strategies? The server should not be down. Please check your settings in Tools->Option regarding SMTP.

          The only indicator open on this chart and the 5 other charts is Volume. All the charts are linked together to display different timeframes of the same instrument. The weird loading message and inability to access the Format Data Series window only corresponds to the Daily timeframe chart. I have to abort the loading message because it will continue forever. This occurs on various workspaces I have made for daytrading and EOD research. All workspaces encounter the same issue on the Daily chart. When I create a new daily chart the Days Back period is set to the default 365 so I assume all these workspaces have the same setting.

          Also, when i go to Tools>Options>Misc Tab and then use the Mail Setup test feature I get this message.



          Same message I recieved when using the Mail-To-Support feature.

            You will want to ensure you have proper SMTP settings that work with your internet connection.
