    Orders stuck PendingChange and Initialize

Hello, I have about 8 orders stuck in either PendingChange or Initialize.
I placed some manually, and some using OIF.
I have 'Flattened' and 'Cancel All' several times.
I have clicked on each X on the orders.
Updated the qty on chart trader, which generates new orders. Those new orders will cancel.
I have also disconnected and reconnected several times.
I don't know what else to do from here.

    Thank you.

    Hello Doogiefala,

    Thank you for your note.

Please send me your log and trace files so that I may look into what occurred.

You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Mail to Platform Support.

Please list 'ATTN: Patrick H' in the subject line and reference this thread in the body of the email.

I look forward to your response.

      Hello Patrick,
I completed my update to the current version of NT7.
Is there a quick way to delete/remove the orders to get normal functioning back until we figure out how this happened, or how to avoid this in the future?
I can't move forward on anything until I get these removed.

      Thank you
      Doug

        Hello Doogiefala,

        Thank you for your response.

Resetting a simulation account will clear all historical trade data from this account. Please follow the instructions below to reset a simulation account. (This can take long depending on the size of your database file and your system.)
        • From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools> Options> Simulator.
        • Press the 'Reset' button.
        • If you do not want to lose your trade data, uncheck the 'Clear history' box (This must be left checked when wanting to remove a stuck sim order)

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you Patrick, I did that and it looks good now.

I have a few questions regarding this:

          1. Can this condition happen in a live account?

          2. I was using OIF files to place orders. I think it got overwhelmed and they became 'stuck' so I added a condition where basically "if any OIF file is in INCOMING then dont write another till that one is processed, even if the file is a different name for a different order". Do you think this is a good approach to prevent this problem in the future?

          3. Are you still reviewing my error logs, or is this ticket considered closed now?

            Hello Doogiefala,

            Thank you for your response.

            1. Orders could be stuck in pending status if the OCO id used on the order group was previously used for an order that has filled, cancelled, or been rejected. This is generally the case when the OCO function is server side.
In this case on the Sim101 account it appears the order got stuck during a change the orders right before a restart of the platform.

            2. This would be good practice to avoid any chance of an OIF not processing.

            3. If there is more information you need please let me know. All I can state is that the order got stuck in pending change right before the platform was restarted.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
