targets and stops not showing

I have targets and stops with a ninjascript, but they do not "execute" with my simulated account.
However, if and only if I stop and then restart the strategy, the "trades" show on the chart.

Can you advise please?

Your Automated strategies with stops and targets built in will display differently in the chart then manual orders with ATM strategies in the Chart Trader.

Try linking your chart to a SuperDOM and you should be able to see the Stops and Targets displayed in the SuperDOM (set the "L" buttons in the top right of each to the same color).

Superdom is linked to chart.....

...but the trades that should have been executed do not show anywhere.

It is only after I stop and restart that the trades show.

why do they show after restart.

PS this is very frustrating to communicate this way-I do not think that I am conveying the situation properly because the answer doesnt address the issue in my mind. My the time an issue is resolved (if ever) another day has passed

You will need to debug why your stategy is not running in real-time. When you stop/restart the strategy is plotting on your chart what has happened historically.

Here are some ideas -

- Check your log tab for any run time errors
- Is your strategy always in the market? If yes, check Tools > Options > Strategies ?> NinjaScript, are you set to execute wait until flat to execute live? If yes, since your strategy is never flat it many never execute
- Final approach is to debug your strategy in real-time to see what is happening, following is a link in case you have never seen it that provides some guidance on this
