.NET 3.5 Service Pack 1 and Windows Update

Will you folks be making an announcement when NT 6.5 is ready for the .Net 3.5?

Also on Windows XP how can I determine what updates will be installed using the Automatic Update feature. Using Control Panel / Automatic Updates I don't see where I can pick and choose which updates to install.

We're in touch with MS to resolve the issue and will make announcement as it's resolved. Note: .NET 3.5 is not the problem but .NET 3.5 SP1 is.

Please consult the MS docs for your to configure your machine to (not) trigger automatic updates.

The latest release was installed on my PC before I recieved the notification not to install and Ninja is inoperable. What do I do now?

I followed the instructions and all is well. I might add to anyone experiencing this problem that you should restart your PC after re-installing the original .NET Framework even though you are not prompted to do so. Also, give the NT App. some time to populate the data as I think it needs to 'find' the new (or old ) .NET Framework, depending on where you place it.

BTW, do you techs think you could take longer than 2 minutes to respond to my problem? (LOL)

.net 3.5 Sp1 Eta?

Some of us actually use our computers for other things... like writing software for a living. What is the ETA for a solution, and why would NT "break" with the installation of a service pack like this? What did Microsoft change that would cause this??

Since SP1 has been in beta for months and available for testing, I am frankly disappointed someone over there didn't at least try it out. It is not like they just drop these on the public without advanced warning.

does anyone know if the latest Visual Studio 2008 90 day trial download installs 3.5 with SP1 ?

I have it, and want to start using it, but don't want to have to uninstall SP1 if they stupidly install it without telling me.

Just checking to see if the update that solves the .NET 3.5 SP1 problem has been resolved. I can't even start NT at the moment...

Unfortunately not yet. We're still in touch with the 3rd part provider to get it resolved. We will keep you posted.
