    Chart won't open once minimized

Not a charting question, but a question about charts...

If I minimize a chart by clicking on it in the taskbar, and then try to bring it back up by clicking on it in the taskbar again - it won't open. I have to right click the chart in the taskbar and choose "restore" to bring it back up.

    Anyone else have this problem?

    I do as well.

Not sure what causes it; I just click restore for now.

      Charts won't open either

I just started having the same problem. I've been closing it and then starting with a new chart. I'll do a restore next time instead.

This is probably some sort of mundane windows / .NET issue.

        Any thoughts from NT?

          Hello NinjaTrader users,

Are these charts that you are having issues with located in a workspace?

            yes they are.

its only after you minimize the chart, if you click the chart icon within the task bar it doesn't come up. you have to right click the icon and select "maximize" or "restore."

Its not a big deal; just an annoyance some times.

              Hi,

It does sound like a small issue, however I believe this can be resolved by creating a new workspace. Please use the directions provided to solve your inquiry.

Delete the workspace under My Documents-->NinjaTrader 6.5>workspaces.

Start NinjaTrader and open your charts.

              Go to File-->Workspace-->Save Workspace As.

Restart NinjaTrader and check if the issue persists.

                hi mike,

That doesn't matter. This has been going on since I've been using NT.

I make new Workspaces w/ charts all the time. This simple problem shows itself regardless, across 3 computers that I use NT on.

I think its a simple windows .NET thing. Maybe Dierk will have an idea about the coding aspect of it, if there is any solution which I'm not sure of.

This is a limitation of all forms having a link button on top and could happen on XP. We never have seen it on Vista.
