No IB.

Thoughts, anyone?

This is most likely because your license is not enabled for IB, please send an e-mail to sales at NinjaTrader dot com and request that your license be enabled for IB.

I have the same problem, I have bought a subscription to a PATS system. I assume IB does not support PATS so you cannot connect to them for data, is this correct?

Yes, monypat this is correct. This is because they are both broker technologies whereas the other connections available are data feed only. It is also possible to subscribe to NinjaTrader with a multi-broker license that will allow you to connect to either. Please send an e-mail to sales at NinjaTrader dot com to change your license from Patsystems to Interactive Brokers or if you would like to inquire about a multi broker license.

Can you connect NT to Interactive Brokers's without buying a subscription?
Just for live trading without the auto trader atm stuff etc?

Hi,

It's possible to connect to IB without having a subscription. You can paper trade with Live data as long as you want. All features will be available to you. The only thing you can't do is submit Live orders. To do this you need to purchase a Live license.

Ok well I already use it live with ZenFire through 2 brokers and have no paid license.
I just get no atm strategies, no auto trading and no superdom thing.
Which I don't want.
So I don't see why I cant do this through IB's??
Must be the Key they give me or something.
Why cant IB's give this?

Hi,

You are correct, this is because the license provided to you by your broker.

With IB you can only use the Free license which has all features included. If you don't want to use those features simply ignore them.
