    there is no market data available to drive the simulation engine

    When I start ninjatrader and connect to contonuum demo, I get the latest real time bar on my chart, but from that point, nothing happens. Price doesn't move. Nothing is populated in the bid/ask.

    This seems to happen with every instrument.

    Any clues?

    Glad to help out. What instrument expiry have you selected? E.g., ES 09-17, CL 07-17, ect.

    (For a chart) what interval is selected?

    Do you receive any additional error on screen? Are there errors on the Log tab of the Control Center? If so, what do these errors report?

      ES 09/17 and FDAX 07/17
      5min charts but it doesn't seem to matter. I've tried other bar intervals

      On the log, there are a few yellow lines:
      ''CQG.Adapter.SubscribeMarketDataResolve:F US.FDAX M17 Could not be resolved

      And Green lines:
      ''Ninjatrader Continuum (Demo) - There is no market data available to drive the simulation engine. affected order. Buy 1 market

        Thank you for your reply,

        FDAX will need to be on the 09-17 contact in order to receive data, 07-17 would not be a valid FDAX contact.

        To test, please reset your instruments, this will ensure that the internal setting for the instruments are up-to-date with server specifications: Disconnect and go to the Tools menu, select the Options menu item, select the Data tab, and then click on 'Reset Instruments'.

        You will need to close and restart NinjaTrader for the settings to take effect.

        Let me know if you see the same after taking these steps.

          thanks.
          The RESET appears to have fixed it.

          I'm assuming it wasn't anything to do with the instrument contracts/expiries?
          Because they all appear to be receiving data fine now. Even the 07-17 FDAX contract.

            This app is ****ing horse ****. I have to have a PhD in coding to understand it or get a simple chart to ****ing show up on my screen. I input all the time frame I want for AAPL in 2010 and nothing ****ing shows up, just a black screen. I finally get something to show up and it's impossible to get an order filled, or to see prices moving. Useless garbage.
