NinjaTrader wont start up

    NinjaTrader wont start up

    My computer crashed, so I had to reinstall NinjaTrader. I installed it successfully with no errors.

    When I doubleclick NinjaTrader, it doesn't open the program.

    I tried multiple times. I also rebooted, but no luck. I checked processes running, and NinjaTrader wasn't on the list.

    I've tried this 50-60 times.

    What's going on?

    Hmm. Please try uninstalling NT, uninstall .NET, clear browser cache, reinstall .NET, reinstall NT.

      I got the exact same results. I'm using Vista, so my computer already has .NET installed. NT was working before the crash.

        You probably have .NET 3.5 SP1 on your machine. Please proceed as per here to revert back to .NET 3.5 (no SP1): http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archi...1/8803442.aspx

              Guys,

              We fixed the issue and created a custom build. Please:
              - uninstall NT6.5 via control panel
              - clear your browser cache (important!)
              - install custom build from here: www.ninjatrader-support.com/ninjatrader/nt6.5.custom/NinjaTrader.Install.msi

              Note: this custom build also incorporates any fix applied since last official release 6.5.1000.6.

                Uninstalling 6.5

                If I just do an uninstall using "Add or Remove Programs" in the control panel, then reinstall using the special build you provided, will all of my custom work in bin/custom/strategy or indicator be kept, or will it be wiped out by the uninstall or new install?

                  These files will be kept in place and are not affected by the uninstall/reinstall process.

                  You can always make copies of these and place them in a temporary folder as a backup, or use our backup and restore utilities: http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H...verview50.html
