Saving Workspace

When I exit NT and respond Yes to Saving Workspace; all is saved.

When I attempt File/Workspace/Save; it appears not to save anything (all lines & rectangles are not saved)

Thank you for your post.


When you go to File>Workspace>save, confirm that the appropriate workspaces is checked.

Then go to File>Workspace>close. Next File>workspace>open.

You cannot save a strategy in a workspace. This is to protect traders from accidentally trading with a strategy.

Don't want to Save a Strategy.

If I close my Workspace I lose my running Strategies...

Maybe you could just consider fixing the Save function...?

This is what I was referring to my last post. This works this way so the trader is protected from accidentally trading with a strategy.

I will submit your desire as a suggestion to our development department as a possible future enhancement.

Final Reply:

If the purpose of the File/Workspace/Save is to save the current workspace please FIX it so it does do that, otherwise, please inform me as to what File/Workspace/Save is suppose to do.

The workspace>save function saves:

-NT window locations (charts, order entry windows, etc.)
-The templates you have loaded on the charts
-Drawing objects you have on the charts
etc...

However, strategies are not saved for the traders protection as mentioned prior.

What happens when you perform these steps exactly?:

-Close everything down except the Control Center
-Open one chart
-Go to: File>Workspaces>Save as...
-Type "test" in for the name.
-Click OK
-Go to: File>workspaces>Close.
-Now got to: File>workspaces>Open.
-Select "test"
-Click OK.

...and one chart should populate with the Control Center.

Note: Strategies will not be saved to this workspace and your suggestion to have it saved to the workspace has been submitted.
