Scaling In

Hi there.

What's the best way to scale into a position in NT7? I tried to do an EnterLong(), along with a couple of EnterLongStop()'s, but that didn't work. For example:

EnterLong(1);
EnterLongStop(1, price1);
EnterLongStop(1, price2);
EnterLongStop(1, price3);

The initial entry would work but not the subsequent ones on NQ futures. I had it set up to allow many entries in the same direction.

I've also tried multiple EnterLong()'s spread out over time but I'm not sure that is giving the best execution in fast moving markets.

Did you increase your EntriesPerDirection?

EntryHandling will also have an impact.
These values are designed to work together.

Hi. Yes I set it to 20, which I think is more than I need. EntryHandling was AllEntries.

Scaling into a position is controlled with the signal names of your strategy, and properties EntryHandling and EntriesPerDirection. This reference sample, SampleScaleOut_NT7, may help with scaling in and out of a strategy.
