Error message; failed to execute DB job

''Failed to execute DB job 'StrategyUpdateJob'. A foreign key value cannot be inserted because a corresponding primary key value does not exist. [Foreign key constraint name= FK__nt_strategy2execution_00000000000028B ]

i have about 6 strategies running. Some of them are the same exact strategy but on different symbols. So are same symbol but the strategy was activated at different times. I'm getting these errors and some of the orders are not executing.

    Whatsup?

calhawk01, this is potentially an issue with your db file. I would suggest saving your applied strategies / parameters and then resetting the db under Tools > Options > Data. Then please recheck on newly added instances of your scripts.

        Hello jmagaia,

        Thanks for your post.

NinjaTrader_Bertrand was referring to ensuring that the strategies them selves were saved along with an parameters settings. Through the normal course of strategy creation you end up saving the strategy. Each time you compile you save the strategy. The parameters are what was set up in the strategy user interface in case there were non- standard settings the user applied. These could be saved by screenshots. Under normal circumstances you would not need to do this. In this case it was because of a specific issue related to the database.

NinjaTrader has a back-up and restore capability here is a link to the helpguide section on this subject: http://ninjatrader.com/support/helpG...p__restore.htm
