    Orders

    I was running a strategy in sim mode today against a live CQG feed. A sharp move happened today in CL around 10:30am. Consider the 2 following trades (from the Trades tab) the strategy took:

    long, 44.76, 44.84, 10:29:53 AM, 10:29:55 AM
    long, 44.7, 44.83, 10:29:59 AM,10:30:10 AM

    and then please see the attached chart. The trades don't match the chart.
    Please advise.

    Hello,
    What CL contract month were you viewing?
    What chart interval are you viewing?
    What mergepolicy do you have set under Control Center>Tools> Options>Data Tab? I look forward to your reply.

      What CL contract month were you viewing? CL 10-15
      What chart interval are you viewing? 3 Range
      What mergepolicy do you have set? MergeBackAdjusted

      Is that what you're asking?

        Hello,
        Yes thank you for your reply to my questions.
        So that I may further investigate what occurred please send your log and trace files.
        You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Mail to Platform Support.

                  Hello,
                  To summarize the email everything in the log and trace files looked correct.
                  The resolution was that the PC clock was not matching the data feed time. To correct this you would sync your PC clock. To sync you PC click you can follow the instructions below:
                  • Close NinjaTrader.
                  • Click on the clock in the lower right corner of your desktop.
                  • Press 'Change time zone...'.
                  • Set the Time zone and press 'OK'.
                  • Click on Internet Time tab.
                  • Set the server to time.nist.gov and then click Update.
                  • Your PC clock should now be updated.
