    New Feature Request: Strategy Analalyzer

    Hello,

    Request:

    1. Add average annual return
    2. Add average annual return for S&P 500 index (this way we compare the strategy results to simply buy and hold the index fund.

Basically in the results section I believe it will be beneficial to compare back test results to S&P 500 index fund.

    Thanks

    Hello simple_goodoboy,

    Thank you for your suggestion.

I would agree, these would be useful metrics and will submit a feature request for these.

In the meantime, you could create these metrics yourself and have them displayed in the strategy analyzer.

Please see the following link for more information,

      Thank you Alan,

I am still a bit newbie to the NT8 Strategy Analyzer and Performance Report.

Are you saying I can custom modify my reporting to show the S&P 500 index returns as a comparison right now in Strategy Analyzer?

      Thanks,

        Hello simple_goodoboy,

Correct. You would open a NS editor and double click on the performance metrics folder.

          Wow, that is very cool.

Do you have any video training of this for me to look at?

          Thanks,

            Hello simple_goodoboy,

I'm unaware of existing training videos on creating performance metrics however I was able to find 2 samples on the forum.
