Visual Studio problem can't ignore NinjaTrader Custom DLLs

Has anyone here encountered this problem?

I use Visual Studio and git.

It works fine except that I can't get it to ignore any NinjaTrader.Custom*.dll files.. There is a NinjaTrader.Custom.xml and I can ignore that easily with something like adding

NinjaTrader.Custom*.*

to the .gitignore

but it should ignore the dll files as well due to the .* but it doesn't..

you can see in the screenshot what I'm talking about.

if anyone could post their .gitignore that they use with visual studio for ninjatrader 8 development, that would be very helpful - i might be able to figure out what is going on from that. I use 2019 but I guess that shouldn't make a difference.

ok seems what happened was when i initially set it up I wasn't paying attention and somehow committed dlls. So I deleted them, comitted the deletions, put the dlls back in the folder and now they are ignored.
