    What does "double" do in MAX?

    I'm trying to figure out what the following code needs with double and what it does to the code. Help me understand?

    Code:
    [B]double [/B]value = MAX(High, 20)[0];

    #2
    Hello jertrade,

    Thanks for your post.

    In your code example of double value = MAX(High, 20)[0];

    The "double" is creating a local variable called value that is the variable type double which is a floating point type number, here is an internet link to the definition of the C# double type: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dot...-numeric-types

    The MAX() method will provide the maximum (in this case) of the High data series of the last 20 bars (including the current bar [0]): Reference: https://ninjatrader.com/support/help...aximum_max.htm The maximum value is then assigned to the variable called value.
