I need to create a data adapter for an unsupported data source feed.
I was wondering if there is code for a complete data adapter that I could study to see ow to do this?

Data from an outside source can be pushed through the External Data Feed.

Many thanks for your reply which is potentially extremely useful.
I did actually see post you referred to after searching the Ninjatrader support forums and googling. Correct me if I am wrong but this seems to be a method to access data from Ninjatrader into a third party app using a data feed that NInjatrader is already connected to.
If this is the case, what I want to do is to create an on-demand data adapter like the kinetick or iqfeed data adapter to feed data on demand into Ninjatrader to replace my existing data feed. Basically the objective is to be able to use/have a faster data feed from a third party.

From the Ninjatrader 8 support page:

The External Data Feed connection is a default connection installed with NinjaTrader. In combination with the DLL Interface, it provides 3rd party applications the ability to drive NinjaTrader with market data.
