Adding a expandable menu item to Control Center

I know you can create a new NT menu item to the Control Center menus - is there a way to add a expandable menu item such like the Tools / Import menu where when you hover over the Import option it 'expands' more options out to the right?

Is there a way to add something like that to a custom menu item?
