    License file not found !

    I have always protected my assemblies but suddenly today it stopped working.

    When I tried to Export a protected assembly I get this error :

    Error occurred protecting your assembly: License file not found.


    What is that ?

    Hello blar58,

    This may mean that you do not have the Agile.NET application installed, or if you have installed it that the license key was not entered into the program.

      Hello Chelsea,

      Like I said before I DO have the Agile.NET application and the key should have been entered because it was working fine before.
      I am exporting protected indicators on a regular basis.

        Thank you for the reply.

        Can you confirm that you are able to see the license entered into agile.net and the agile application outside of ninjatrader is working correctly? If you have not yet tried to re-enter your license into agile.net, that would be another option for troubleshooting this error.

        Also, can you tell me, as we are in the NT8 forum are you currently doing anything with NT7 and its protection processes? The NT8 and NT7 processes cannot be used on the same machine at the same time, I am unsure if this could be related to this error specifically but is something I wanted to check.

          I think you may get it !

          Yes I have used NT7 and NT8 at the same time. Not connected at the same time but open at the same time.

          What should I do ?

            Hello,

            This is not specifically NT7 and NT8 program but the agile program for each version of the platform.

            Are you currently trying to export protected assemblies for both NT7 and NT8 or are you just using NT7 and NT8? Just using both platforms would be fine as they are designed to do this. It is agile that cannot have both their prior version and new version installed on the same pc. Can you confirm you are not trying to export protected assemblies from 7 and 8? If you have installed both agile versions, this will cause problems which may result in the error you have shown.

              i am NOT trying to export indicators from NT7 AND NT8. I am exporting only from NT8

                Thank you for clarifying that for me. Please ignore my prior comment as this would be unrelated to your situation as you are only exporting from NT8.

                Were you able to confirm that opening the agile application outside of NinjaTrader works and you were able to see/re enter your license?

                I could also suggest trying to uninstall agile.net and reinstall it and re-enter the license key. NinajTrader would need to interact with the external agile.net program to protect assemblies, if it or any of its resources were moved/damaged it may not work to export items from ninjatrader.

                    Hello,

                    That would likely indicate there was some change in the system where agile needs to be re-setup. I could not say what that may have been but from your description, it sounds like you need to re-enter the information you had received from agile in the email when you purchased it.

                    Could you try to re-enter your information from the email you had received from secure team and then see if NinjaTrader is able to work as expected?

                      It appears Agile licenses your machine, not by your name alone. Could your machine ID have changed with a Windows update?
