Synchronized Vertical Scrolling makes NT freeze

I have tried to use Synchronized Vertical Scrolling in the output window (several times) but it makes NT freeze.

    My steps were:
    1) Add two instances of custom indicator (intrabar calculation with FTOB method) to chart. First instance = Calculate.OnBarClose. Second instance = Calculte.OnEachTick
    2) First instance prints to 'PrintTo.OutputTab1'. Second instance prints to 'PrintTo.OutputTab2'
    3) Run on Market Replay
    4) Apply ouput window options: Dual View + Synchronized Vertical Scrolling
    5) Scroll upp and down with mouse
    6) FREEZE

    NT version: 8.0.17.1 64-bit

    Hello poseidon_sthlm,

    Thank you for the post.

I tried to recreate the steps you listed however I did not see a freeze when testing this. Would you be able to attach the test script being used so I have the full context of your test?

Also what speed is being used when playing back in playback? Does this cause a difference using a slow speed as opposed to a fast speed?

You noted to scroll up and down, is this something you see immediately or after a time? Does this require flicking the scroll wheel to scroll very fast or could you further detail what you are doing exactly when this happens?

I look forward to being of further assistance.

      Hello,

I can reproduce the issue with the attached simplified indicator.

I used MAX speed in Market Replay. But I did disconnect Market Replay before applying Dual View + Synchronized Vertical Scrolling in the ouput window. The freeze happens immediately after scrolling not very fast with the mouse wheel.

        Hello poseidon_sthlm,

        Thank you for the question.

I tried the script but still can't seem to see the freeze. I noted you are one version behind on NT8 so you may try updating before you continue testing. I created a quick video showing myself testing the steps you provided. I believe I was able to follow the same steps, if there is something I am missing can you please highlight it? The video can be viewed at the publically available link: https://www.screencast.com/t/UtmrgS0b

I look forward to being of further assistance.

          Hello again,

I have now updated to NT version: 8.0.17.2 64-bit and tested again. The behavior in the new NT version has improved, but I can still reproduce the freeze. This issue seems to have nothing to do with neither Market Replay, nor the kind of mouse I use, since I can reproduce on a historical chart with the mousepad on my laptop.

I can reproduce the freeze with the following steps:
          1) - Add two instances of indicator ' TestSyncScrolloing' to a historical chart (with a few days of history).
          - First instance = Calculate.OnBarClose. ('PrintTo.OutputTab1'.)
          - Second instance = Calculte.OnEachTick ('PrintTo.OutputTab2')
          2) Apply ouput window options: Dual View + Synchronized Vertical Scrolling
          3) Scroll upp and down with mouse
          4) Deselect Dual View (on right mouse button click-menu in ouput window)
          5) Repeat steps 2-4 once or twice
          6) The scrolloing will get slower and slower and eventually freeze

            Hello poseidon_sthlm,

            Thank you for your reply.

I tried the newest set of steps however I still have not seen a problem with this process. I wanted to check, are you able to record a video of this happening that I could review? That would be helpful for me to make sure I am not missing any steps in reproducing this. With that information, it would also help me determine the next steps to take in case I still cannot reproduce the problem.

I look forward to being of further assistance.
