    Bug; Timer; Drifting Event

    Hi..

I found out that a drifting event (event which you lost the reference and is still functional) will appear no matter what, no matter if you restart the NT, the PC, if you close the charts... nothing..

So, everytime i restarted the NT, the method of the timer, was being executed. And there was no chart with any indicator attached.

To solve this you have to go to the editor, find the file, and exclude it from compiling... then you restart the NT.
Otherwise, for some reason, NT keeps starting the drifting event as soon as you open the platfrom.

    Good luck.

    Hello Fernand0,

    Thank you for your post.

How did you discover this behavior? Is this seen with the built in BarTimer indicator? Do you have an indicator that reproduces this behavior?

I look forward to your response.

I don't remember which Timer i was using.. Forms.. Dispatcher or Timer.... but it was compiled with Dispose() (no errors).. just that... not even a Stop()...

When I deattach the indicator, the msgs on the output window continued.

        Hello Fernand0,

        Thank you for your response.

May we test the indicator you were using here?

You can export your indicator by going to Tools > Export > NinjaScript Add On > Add > select your indicator > OK > Export > name the file 'NTsupport' > Save.

The file will be located under Documents\NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom\ExportNinjaScript. Please attach the file to your response.

I look forward to your response.

Sure, as soon as you help me with the memory/cache issue that makes the Print() crash my NT.

BTW, i've already deleted the "cache" folder, stills the same.

You are helping me in another thread since.. a week ago, for the crashes that i have with Print(). I can't reproduce the code with the bug if I can't use Print().

I saw the bug because SOMETIMES, the Print() don't crash my NT.
