    Identifying live vs. simulated account

    I want to change the color of objects that my indicator generates when the active account is a live account. What is the best way to accomplish this? Currently I have:

    if(activeAccount.Provider != Provider.Simulator && activeAccount.Provider != Provider.Playback){

    }

    Hello martyn73,

    Thank you for the post.

    That looks like it should cover the general simulator situations where you would have a simulation account in use, this should also report for a sim account being used. Are you seeing any issues with this in your use cases or were you just checking if this would be valid?

    There is not a specific recommendation in the help guide surrounding checking for this, what you have seems to be sufficient unless you have found a case where it is not and we could explore that directly.

    I look forward to being of further assistance.
