Creating a cloud between 2 moving averages a certain number of bars back on chart

    Hello all,

I'm trying to wrap my mind around something that was easy to code in thinkscript, but is quite a challenge on ninjascript (ninjatrader 8).

    I'm hoping you can help!

What I want to do is draw a cloud between two moving averages - but I only want it a modifiable number of bars back (i.e. 50) on the chart from the current bar - and I would like it to be a rectangular cloud just based on the current value of the moving avg.

I've attached an example from my think or swim chart.

I also attached an example of me tinkering with the pivot study that comes with ninja.
When i try to draw a region between PP and S1, even though the lines are only on a portion of the chart (which is exactly what i'm trying to accomplish) the cloud gets drawn for all historical pivot levels .

    Any help would be appreciated!

Draw Rectangle seems to have solved my question!

Hi MavMoney, thanks for your note.

Draw.Rectangle will work. You may also look into custom rendering with SharpDX for this to get max performance. See the SampleCustomRender indicator for an example on rendering rectangles onto the chart.

      Kind regards,
