Setting the MenuItem Style of a Menu

Hello ChelseaB,

Let me know when you get the AutomationID for the subMenuItem let me know. I've looked for 4 hours trying to set the hover/highlight value. It's only possible for those to be set via Style.

This is probably not possible due to how NT's main menu is setup and style related, do you know how to keep header always visible? When adding too many main menu elements to NT's window, it throws the additional elements into the drop down thing. Instead of displaying the Icon AND the header, it removes the header only leaving the icon. This would not matter if the room for the icon can be change... cause I can set the icon to text as well.

Amendment to post #16:

Scratch what I said about the menu header being always visible. I went ahead and made a proper icon instead with no header. Still need the style for the subMenuItems though, if anybody know what it is. :P

This is Jim responding on behalf of Chelsea who is out of the office at this time.

Chelsea may be the best person to help you move forward, but if I gather correctly, you are trying to accomplish what I have in my attached screenshot for your sub menu items?

This is done with the "InstrumentMenuItem" style. Chelsea uses it in his ChartTraderCustomMenu example found in the first post of his WPF Modifications thread.

The hover does indeed work, but I do not think that's the same exact style. The font size appears smaller, they are not. Counted the pixels. It's the color of the text that's off and makes my menu look smaller. The menuItems on the right look brighter and give the illusion they are bigger. I could be going crazy.

The menu added to the title bar, ntBartopMenuItem, of SampleWPFModifications uses the MainMenuItem as a Style.

From your screenshot, the unhighlighted text appears to be the same.

Took a look at the individual pixels and yes the intensity is the same. Going crazy I guess :P
