The following DMI_StochasticsExtreme posted by NinjaTrader_PatrickH in User Apps uses DMI indicator as input series for default Stochastics indicator. The results of which are not correct because the default Stochastics indicator historically has had issues with using another oscillator as input series, and I believe it defaults back to using HLC data for its calculations. Several other default indicators that use MAX and MIN data have the same issue. These have been identified and documented by Harry in the forum.
This has been an issue for a long time. However, a couple of new versions, StochasticsInput and StochasticsFastInput were developed, I believe by Paul, that enable one to use another oscillator as input for Stochastics indicator.
Perhaps, a new version of this indicator can simply use the available StochasticsFastInput (already in User Apps) instead of the default Stochastics indicator to fix the issue ( It is a one line edit).
Cheers!
