Connection Lost on Live Trading

    Connection Lost on Live Trading

    I have 2 Ameritrade accounts and 1 IB account. NT has no problem keeping the connection during backtesting, but as soon as I run my strategy for live trading, my primary ameritrade account closes connection. If I connect to my secondary ameritrade account, the connection lasts anywhere from 1 minute to 1 hour, then terminates. IB has been stable. How can I make my ameritrade connection stay connected?

    Hello Ocean Zhang,

    Can you please send me your log and trace files so I can investigate. Log and trace files can be found at the following locations.

    Windows start menu-->Documents-->NinjaTrader 8-->log

    Windows start menu-->Documents-->NinjaTrader 8-->trace

    Right click the log and trace folder and select Send to-->Compressed (zipped) folder. Subsequently attach both .zip files in your email and send it to platformsupport[at]ninjatrader[dot]com. Please put 'Att Jason, http://ninjatrader.com/support/forum...d.php?t=102616' in the subject header.

    In addition, please include what day and time the issue occurred last.

      this is a constant occurrence, not just isolated to today. However, I think I just found a solution. The problem seems to occur when I have more than 1 instrument enabled with a strategy before market opens, and as soon as market opens, the connection closes. This also happens when I select multiple instruments and bulk enable a strategy during RTH. When I tried individually enabling each strategy for each instrument during RTH, the connection seems to be stable. This is an acceptable workaround for now, but it's cumbersome to do it one by one, and forces me to wait until market opens before I can enable a strategy.
