    Playback problem with New Version

Using Playback, the trade executions do not show up with markers and Text on my chart and they do not show up in Trade performance. They do show up in the Control Panel
    under Executions.

    See attached.

Update - I see what is happening When I insert a strategy on the chart all manually placed orders disappear( Markers and text). If the strategy is disabled they do not come back nor does the trade performance information . Using Sim101 and placing manual trades at least the performance information is retained after removing the Strategy.

I can understand blanking the manual chart trade markers and text when a strategy is applied.
I don't understand eliminating the markers , text, executions and performance information after the strategy is removed in Playback. Is this the expected behaviour

I also experience this when there is no instrument to be selected for the time period.

Your time period is in the future, 8/28/2017-8/28/2017. No trades happened that day.

That was selection error on my part.
It jumped to august and I was selecting for July.
Now at least the executions show up in Trade performance.
However they do not show up on the chart and here is the interesting part.
If I open a new chart, the markers and text show up.
On the chart that they were placed with the strategy they don't.
and yes they are selected to display on that chart.

This playback is so broken it is not funny. I tried to go backwards using Goto by first changing the start date back 2 days from where it was.
Then setting the Goto Date and Time.
It has been running and running and Runing
For almost 20 minutes. It never went to the date I selected
it started the goto past the date I selected and is searching for some date it will never hit.
I have no way of stopping it other than by killing NT8. I have spent over an hour trying to go back more than 1 week and each time there has been an issue.

If you select "playback current day only"
              GOTO some date Time.
it takes up to 2 minutes with no indicators on the chart.
Then if you mouse click on the playback control to get focus if you right
click by mistake so you click on the title bar to get back it will jump all the way back
to the Start setting making you do the GOTO again.
2 minutes is WAY TOO long for someone replaying a 30 second manual trade. If your using it for strategies I am sure its fine but for practicing scalp trades over and over this is unusable. It is a step backwards from NT7.

                JerryWar,

                Thanks for posting.

In regards to the executions plotting on the chart, was the strategy you mentioned an automated NinjaScript, or an ATM strategy?

I haven't been able to replicate this behavior with the Playback Controller on my end so far. Are there any other charts or windows open in your workspace when you see this behavior other than the one primary chart you mentioned? Are any automated strategies enabled on the chart?

I just had a thought - How many charts/tabs/workspaces are open?

Which exact CPU are you using?

Is your CPU pegged at 100%?
