Ninjatrader does not start

    Ninjatrader does not start

    When I try to start Ninjatrader on my main windows user account, the mouse pointer changes to wait for a few seconds, but it aborts without error message. It does not create a log or trace file. I tried to delete everything (uninstall program + delete documents/Ninjatrader folders) and reinstall but the problem remains.

    I create a new windows account on the same computer for a test, there it starts ok.

    What else do I have to delete to have a real clean installation (registry entry..)?

    Thank you for writing to the support team.

    You might have OneDrive enabled on the PC. Please check this by going to Windows File Explorer>Right click 'Documents'>click 'Properties'. Please confirm what the drive path says under 'Location' in the properties of the documents.

      Thank you for answering rapidly.
      Windows File Explorer>Right click 'Documents'>click 'Properties'. drive path says c:\users\..\Documents
      I also tried to deactivate Onedrive, restart, but the problem remains.
      I also tried to run it as administrator, nothing.
      What else can it be?

          Well, I just found the problem: I have no idea how this got activated, I don't use this function normally. Somehow Ninjatrader was blocked the access to the my Documents folder by the Bitdefender Security protection.
          Thank you again for your help.
          Might it be possible to implement an error message on refused file access in a future version (This should help problems with Onedrive as well)? I spent some time on this, as the program aborts without a word!
