unchecked enable box for an indicator does not mute the alert?

    unchecked enable box for an indicator does not mute the alert?

    the enable box is unchecked for the alert whose image is displayed below,
    yet the alert continues to sound?

    if i remember correctly, in similar other instances of alerts such an unchecked
    enable box muted the alert.

    please advise.

    Hello joemiller,

    Unfortunately the link to the attachment does not work.

    Could it be you have multiple alerts setup and the sound is from a different alert? If you open the Alerts Log window, do you see the alert in question when you hear the sound?

      it is the only alert1.wav alert. it is a crossover and i can see and hear it when a crossover occurs.

      below is another attempt at the attachment.

        Do you see the alert in the Alerts Log window?

        If you restart NinjaTrader, do you still hear the alert sound?

        If the issue remains, please send me your log and trace files, so I can investigate. Log and trace files can be found at the following locations.

        Windows start menu-->Documents-->NinjaTrader 8-->log

        Windows start menu-->Documents-->NinjaTrader 8-->trace

        Right click the log and trace folder and select Send to-->Compressed (zipped) folder. Subsequently attach both .zip files in your email and send it to platform support[at]ninjatrader[dot]com. Put 'Att Jason, unchecked enable box for an indicator does not mute the alert?' in the subject field.

          i not only restarted ninja, i restarted the computer but the issue did not go away.

          just sent log and trace files at 7:44 am eastern time.
